Altenburg is the city of playing cards and if you like to visit the castle museum and the museum of playing cards you will get every information about the famous game of Skat.

Explore more than 6000 editions out of 5 centuries, ancient printing plates, gambling tables and machines who are exhibited in the museum. The museum of playing cards is combined with other exhibitions from the castle museum. There you can learn about the history of our beautiful castle. And on top of that you can peek into an old studio where ancient playing cards were built with an effort.
